    Randy Cole

    Mr. Cole is a veteran of the IT Industry having been involved in IT for over 3O years. Randy’s background has come full circle from his early days of installing Point of Sale. He later was a major contributor to starting a Support Center that supported IBM POS Software, IBM POS Hardware, Symbol Handheld devices, and much more.

    Mr. Cole was also a major influence in what was once called “line busting”, now referred to as Mobile Point of Sale. He was on the ground floor of the designing, operation, and installation of this application which earned him an “Innovator of the Year” award. This application was introduced to a major high end leather company, and then was used by a Swedish retailer that has a worldwide presents. Today, if you go into a particular cell phone provider that has fruit as a symbol, or if you go through a particular fast-food restaurant that promotes chicken, and these business use a hand held device Mr. Cole was an influencer.

    Randy has also been involved in sales and marketing for much of his career. He has been a Client Executive providing ERP software to several international companies including a worldwide chocolate company with corporate offices in the US. He also won a prestigious award when he was awarded and recognized by Microsoft upon selling Microsoft ERP to a large US government entity. Mr. Cole’s experience also includes the distribution channel in both a sales and marketing role.

    Other roles have also included being a Director of Sales and Marketing for several US and International Companies with responsibility for all sales, the partner channel, as well as all marketing and shows/events.

    Mr. Cole is a lifelong South Carolina resident. He is on the Visitors Board at Anderson University, and he is graduate of Appalachian State University.

    Dr. James A. (Jim) Bate

    Dr. Bate has held a variety of positions in industry and academia including Operations Research Analyst for J. P. Stevens, Instructor of Computer Science at Clemson University, Project Leader in the development of state-wide CICS and IMS based information systems for the states of Wisconsin and Oklahoma, Project Leader at Integrated Information Systems in the development of Logistics Support Systems for the Department of Defense, Vice President of R&D for Foxfire Technologies Corporation in the development of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Real-time Shopfloor Control Systems and principal designer on numerous other complex database/data communication projects for such companies as the V.F. Corporation, The William Carter Company, Intertape Polymer Company, ALLTEL Communications and Delta Woodside.

    Dr. Bate earned a BS degree in Mathematics from Bob Jones University and MS and PhD degrees in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University.

    Dr. Edward W. (Ed) Page

    Dr. Page is a Professor Emeritus at Clemson University, and has more than forty years of engineering and management experience in a variety of industry, government, and university positions. His academic career includes service as Professor of Computer Science, Associate Dean of Engineering and Science, and Executive Director of the Clemson University Research Foundation. He has extensive research experience in artificial intelligence and biologically inspired computing paradigms and has served as principal or co-principal investigator on a variety of research projects sponsored by the Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Commerce, and industry. His technical background also includes research and development in wide-area communication networks, geographically distributed simulations, radar and sonar signal processing, image processing, and industrial applications of microprocessors and microcontrollers. Dr. Page has served as a consultant to several government and industry organizations and has published nearly seventy (70) papers and a book on microcontroller architecture. He is co-inventor of a patent on machine learning.

    Dr. Page earned an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University, an MS degree in engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a PhD degree in electrical engineering from Duke University.

    Dr. John C. (Jack) Peck

    Dr. Peck is a Professor Emeritus in the Computer Science Department at Clemson University after retiring from Clemson as Chairman of the Department. At Clemson he served in a variety of capacities including Director of the Division of Information Systems Development, an organization he founded to assist South Carolina State Government in the design and development of very large database/data communication systems such as Medicaid and Online Public Health Medical Records. In addition to authoring numerous scholarly research papers and serving as a principal or co-principal investigator on several Department of Defense and National Science Foundation contracts, Dr. Peck served as an accreditation visitor on several teams for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and worked for many years as a consultant in computer applications for manufacturing and distribution through Foxfire Technologies Corporation, a software company he co-founded in 1987 and sold in 2007. Dr. Peck currently serves as President and CEO of FastFetch Corporation, a company he co-founded in 2006.

    In addition to holding 2 patents on the FastFetch system in the United States, Japan, Mexico, China, India, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany and France, Dr. Peck holds two patents in speech recognition for use by handicapped workers and holds one US patent in intelligent, reconfigurable technologies for warehouse management. Dr. Peck’s primary research interests in computer science are database, manufacturing and distribution systems. Dr. Peck earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics and an MS and PhD degree in computer science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now the University of Louisiana).
